Are you interested in getting more involved? Serving is a wonderful way to meet others in our church family while actively participating in our mission to "be a church not for ourselves, but for others." Our new ministry year begins on Sunday, September 12, and we need dedicated individuals to join our various service teams and ministries.
Remembering the great love that we have personally been shown in Christ, we find joy in extending that love to others in the way that we serve them.
Sunday Service Teams
We are looking for warm, friendly and hospitable people to help ensure a seamless worship experience each week. Below are more details about each opportunity. If you have any questions, you can email Carolann, our Director of Hospitality and Connections, at [email protected].
Usher TeamThis team plays a vital role each week, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for our church family and guests to worship free of distractions. |
Communion TeamCommunion is a physical reminder of Christ’s sacrifice for us and is a celebration of God being present with us. Due to the unique nature of this integral part of our worship, servers must be members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. |
Connections TeamThis team serves at the Connect Table during Coffee Hour after service. They seek to facilitate the connection between visitors and Redeemer LSQ by providing information on events and opportunities to get congregants plugged in. |
Coffee Hour TeamHelp coordinate our post-service time of fellowship. While the logistical needs are key, they’re rooted in a deeper goal to know and care for others. That said, the Coffee Hour Team works in tandem with the Connections Team. |
Brunch BunchAs a clear expression of what it means to "be a church not for ourselves, but for others," this is great opportunity to express self-sacrifice by stepping outside of one's comfort zone to engage with others over a meal. |
Worship Arts TeamDo you have a heart for leading worship? Do you sing, play an instrument, or like to read aloud? If so, consider this team, which consists of scripture readers, song leaders, seasonal choir members and instrumentalists. |

Prayer TeamGod listens to the prayers of his people. Therefore, we bring him all of our praise, petition, confession of sin, and thanksgiving. The Prayer Team meets before service to pray over the needs of our community and city. |
LSQ KidsThis ministry serves newborns through 6th graders. If you love holding babies, playing with preschoolers or engaging with elementary children, and want to help train them in a foundational gospel knowledge, we would love to have you serve. |
First Time Guests TeamDo you have a heart for visitors and first-time guests and would enjoy seeking them out and welcoming them to LSQ? If so, help us create an incredible first impression and a personalized experience by assisting first-time guests from the moment they walk through our doors. |
Other Service Opportunities
We have other ways you can serve our church family and surrounding community on days and at times not on Sunday morning during our worship service. We would love for you to consider serving in one of these ways if you're not able to commit to one of our Sunday Service Teams listed above.
Community Group Leaders/HostsA CG is one of the places where congregants can be known, loved and cared for, and where they can know, love and care for others. CGs meet throughout the week in congregants’ homes across the city and are comprised of ~6-12 people. |
Linq GroupsLinq Groups are lay-led initiatives that support LSQ’s missional statement of being "a church not for ourselves, but for others." Do you have a favorite hobby or interest and want to gather others to share in the fun? We believe the best way to reach those who are disconnected from the church is through existing relationships. |
