Generosity, at its core, is a lifestyle which flows from the understanding that everything we have is a gift from God. We give because much has been given to us.
Holistic Generosity
The first community of Christians in the book of Acts were radically generous with their possessions — because of their newly found boldness and fearlessness that came out of an assurance in Christ’s love. It was the quality of their generous community that demonstrated and proved the reality that the gospel changes lives.
At Redeemer we want to model a community of Christians who live sacrificial lives of generosity across many fronts. From opening our homes to others to forgiving those who hurt us, generosity takes many forms. Of course, this includes sacrificial giving — stewardship of your finances. Paul was talking about money when he wrote, “Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” (2 Corinthians 9:6).
Nevertheless, as you see, financial giving is not the only kind of generosity we need poured out at Redeemer. In fact, for many of us living and working in this busy city, the giving of time to foster new relationships or to serve in a ministry routinely may even be the more challenging form of generosity. Whatever your sacrifices would be in living a more generous life for God and for others, we invite you to consider a holistic approach that includes being generous through service to ministries, through relationships, through hospitality, through the privileges and power we hold, and lastly, through our wealth.

Special Funds
Diaconate Mercy Fund
This fund makes it possible for our Diaconate officers to help clients (people in our congregation and community) during times of crisis and transition.

Disaster Relief Fund
This fund was established in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through your generosity, we've been able to help LSQ congregants, community members and neighbors with groceries, transportation, utilities, rent, counseling sessions and medical bills.
PLCC Fund
Through our Disaster Relief Fund, we established a new partnership with Promised Land Covenant Church, which is located in the South Bronx, to assist with their Eviction Prevention and Rent Assistance initiative. In January 2021, their worship facility was destroyed due to a community fire, so we established this fund to assist them with the repairs and rebuild.

Annual Report
Redeemer's 2020 Annual Report shares a recap of the year with brief ministry and financial updates from each of the Redeemer churches. As you may know, Redeemer members voted to transition from one single church to three distinct church entities (West Side with Lincoln Square, Downtown and East Side with East Harlem) during a virtual meeting on November 1, 2020. As such, this will be our final collective Annual Report. We are grateful to God for his provisions during a year filled with many challenges, and we're prayerful as we look ahead to how he will guide us all as we seek to continue sharing his love with our city.
